When I first started blogging, Momsoap was one of the first blogs about raising biracial kids that I followed and it’s author, Martha, was one of the first bloggers I “got to know” – in quotes only because we have never actually met in person! Martha is outspoken and honest, which I love, and writes often about her experiences as a white woman raising her daughter Annika (whose dad is African). In her usual style, Martha speaks candidly about caring for her 5-year-old daughter’s hair and even shares their special haircare song!
Can you start us off by describing Annika’s hair?
Ha, I wish I had a really great answer for you. As with most things, I floundered around for a while with her hair. I got a few recommendations for detanglers from friends and a couple of websites have been helpful, although they would probably be even more helpful if I actually read them more often. 🙂 I like the sites Chocolate Hair/Vanilla Care and Naturally Curly.
