It’s that time of school year – if your child’s school hasn’t had parent-teacher conferences yet, they are probably just around the corner. We just received the date for Zip’s conference today. Last year, as momma of a kindergartener, the first report card and first conference felt like a Very Big Deal. This year, being the veteran momma of a first-grader, I’m a little more relaxed. I have a better idea of what to expect and what to ask, and now that we have a year of school under our belts, I don’t expect any big surprises. (My kiddo talks a lot in class? Yep, we know this. Like momma-like son.)
Today I’m sharing lessons learned from last year’s parent-teacher conference over at Bonbon Break. I hope you’ll head over and read What To Ask Before You Freak Out. Bonbon’s Family Room is featuring several posts on school-related concerns this week, so you can also find super-informative posts like Navigating the Section 504 Plan and Kids’ ADHD Explained, written by mommas who have been there. Oh, and they’ve got a DIY guide to flavor-infused liquors in the Kitchen that will make you want to run out to the liquor store, stat.
