This winter I attended my first local blogger meet-up, where I enjoyed a delicious brunch and got to meet some great ladies. I was also shocked to find myself the only "mommy blogger" in a group of 12 or so women and very possibly the oldest person there. Is this what happens as 40 creeps closer?! Eek!
Anyhoo, I met Steph, whose blog seriously makes me wish I was planning a wedding. The Event Crashers is chock full of absolutely beautiful, magazine-worthy photos of weddings and amazing inspiration. But Steph features all kinds of events on her blog and her philosophy is down-to-earth: "Whether it's as extravagant as a wedding, as homey as a family picnic, or as spooky as a Halloween costume party, life and its events deserve to be celebrated." When she invited me to write a guest post sharing Bee's 3rd birthday party, she assured me that simple was just fine, which is a good thing because his birthday comes while we are still recovering from Christmas and New Years.
